New Song Idea Blooming

I have some new lyrics in search of a song... which hasn't happened in quite awhile. The open line would be:

Is there anything that you can do
To turn a white hydrangea blue?

I imagine a young man saying it to the flower specialist behind the counter. Her answer is something like:

Tell you something, it never fails
Bury it with some rusty nails

Where it goes from there, I have no idea. But somehow the whole conversation about turning a white hydrangea blue has to be both a metaphor and the subtext for a tension between them.

"I'll be fine when you're gone
I'll just cry all night long
Say it isn't true
And don't it make my brown eyes blue"

Great start. Know any musicians?

Great idea. Great lyrics (thus far). Obviously the young man needs help w/something that goes a wee bit beyond flowers.
white=purity/innocence
blue/death
The "nails" and "bury" imagery makes me think the flower girl is no hippie. Dark, twisted, haunting; good stuff. Are you going to write all your songs online?
